| Rifle: |
Loaded with 10 rounds, staged on Table 1 or 3 with action closed on an empty chamber and hammer down. |
| Shotgun: | Open and empty, staged safely with 4+ rounds on person. |
| Pistols: | Loaded with 5 rounds each, holstered with hammer down on an empty chamber. |
| Start: |
Gun order is rifle, shotgun, then pistols. Stage may be engaged from right to left or left to right. Shooter is standing behind Table 1 or 3 with hands touching hat. |
| Shooter signifies ready by saying the line:
“Happy New Year!”

| Rifle: |
Retrieve the rifle and engage the rifle targets from Table 1 or 3 by placing 5 rounds on the center target then 2 rounds on one side target and 3 rounds on the other. Make rifle safe. |
| Shotgun: |
Retrieve the shotgun. Engage any 4 shotgun targets in any order. The left 3 shotgun targets may be engaged from Table 1 or 2, or both. The right 3 shotgun targets may be engaged from Table 2 or 3, or both. Make shotgun safe. |
| Pistols: |
Draw pistols in accordance with your category and engage the pistol targets from Table 2 by placing 5 rounds on the center target then 2 rounds on one side target and 3 rounds on the other. Holster empty pistols. |
| When finished shooting, retrieve guns and proceed to the unloading table. |
STAGE 2
| Rifle: | Loaded with 10 rounds, staged on Table 1 or 3 with action closed on an empty chamber and hammer down. |
| Pistols: | Loaded with 5 rounds each, holstered with hammer down on an empty chamber. |
| Shotgun: | Open and empty, staged on Table 2 with 4+ rounds on person. |
| Start: | Shooter is standing behind Table 1 or 3 with hands poised over rifle. Gun order is rifle, pistols, then shotgun. Stage may be engaged from right to left or left to right. |
| Shooter signifies ready by saying the line: “Ring in the New Year with lead on steel!” | |
| Rifle: | Retrieve the rifle and engage the rifle targets from Table 1 or 3 with a double-tap Nevada sweep from either direction starting on the center target. (Example: R2-R2, R3-R3, R2-R2, R1-R1, R2-R2.) Make rifle safe. |
| Pistols: | Draw pistols in accordance with your category and engage the pistol targets from Table 2 with a double-tap Nevada sweep from either direction starting on the center target. (Example: P2-P2, P3-P3, P2-P2, P1-P1, P2-P2.) Holster empty pistols. |
| Shotgun: | Retrieve the shotgun. Engage any 4 targets from Table 2 in any order. Make shotgun safe. |
| When finished shooting, retrieve guns and proceed to the unloading table. |
STAGE 3 –
| Pistols: | Loaded with 5 rounds each, holstered with hammer down on an empty chamber. |
| Rifle: | Loaded with 10 rounds, staged safely with action closed on an empty chamber and hammer down. |
| Shotgun: | Open and empty, staged safely with 2+ rounds on person. |
| Start: | Shooter is standing behind Table 2 with hands on pistol or pistols. Gun order is pistol, rifle, then shotgun. Stage may be engaged from right to left or left to right. |
| Shooter signifies ready by saying the line: “Out with the old and in with the new!” | |
| Pistols: | Draw pistols in accordance with your category and engage the pistol targets from Table 2 by alternating shots on the side targets for four shots from either direction, then one shot on the center target, then repeat. (Example: P1-P3, P1-P3, P2, then repeat.) Holster empty pistols. |
| Rifle: | Retrieve the rifle and engage the rifle targets from Table 1 or 3 by alternating shots on the side targets for four shots from either direction, then one shot on the center target, then repeat. (Example: R1-R3, R1-R3, R2, then repeat.) Make rifle safe. |
| Shotgun: | Retrieve the shotgun. Engage any 2 targets from Table 1 or 3 in any order. Make shotgun safe. |
| When finished shooting, retrieve guns and proceed to the unloading table. |
Stage 4
| Rifle: | Loaded with 10 rounds, staged on Table 1 or 3 with action closed on an empty chamber and hammer down. |
| Shotgun: | Open and empty, staged safely with 6+ rounds on person. |
| Pistols: | Loaded with 5 rounds each, holstered with hammer down on an empty chamber. |
| Start: | Shooter is standing behind Table 1 or 3 with back to the firing line and hands relaxed at sides. Shooter starts with rifle. Order of pistols and shotgun is shooter’s choice. |
| Shooter signifies ready by saying the line: “Let the good times roll!” | |
| Rifle: | At the beep retrieve the rifle and engage the rifle targets from Table 1 or 3 with a Triple-Tap sweep from either direction then one shot at the center target. Make rifle safe. |
| Pistols: | Draw pistols in accordance with your category and engage the pistol targets from Table 2 with a Triple-Tap sweep from either direction then one shot at the center target. Holster empty pistols. |
| Shotgun: | Retrieve the shotgun. From Table 2 engage all six shotgun targets in any order. Make shotgun safe. |
| When finished shooting, retrieve guns and proceed to the unloading table. |
STAGE 5 –
| Rifle: | Loaded with 10 rounds, at cowboy port arms with action closed on an empty chamber and hammer down. |
| Shotgun: | Open and empty, staged vertically in a gun rack with 4+ rounds on person. |
| Pistols: | Loaded with 5 rounds each, holstered with hammer down on an empty chamber. |
| Start: | Shooter is standing behind firing line between the two gun racks with rifle at cowboy port arms. Gun order is rifle, shotgun, then pistols. |
| Shooter signifies ready by saying the line: “Full speed ahead!” | |
| Rifle: | At the beep engage the rifle/pistol targets by sweeping all three targets from either direction then double-tap the center target, then repeat. (Example: R1, R2, R3, R2-R2, then repeat.) Make rifle safe vertically in the gun rack. |
| Shotgun: | Retrieve the shotgun. Engage all four shotgun targets in any order. Make shotgun safe vertically in the gun rack. |
| Pistols: | Draw pistols in accordance with your category and engage the rifle/pistol targets from the rocks by sweeping all three targets from either direction then double-tap the center target, then repeat. (Example: P1, P2, P3, P2-P2, then repeat.) Holster empty pistols. |
| When finished shooting, retrieve guns and proceed to the unloading table. |
STAGE 6 –
| Rifle: | Loaded with 10 rounds in two hands with action closed on an empty chamber and hammer down. |
| Shotgun: | Open and empty, staged vertically in a gun rack with 4+ rounds on person. |
| Pistols: | Loaded with 5 rounds each, holstered with hammer down on an empty chamber. |
| Start: | Shooter is standing behind the firing line between the two gun racks with rifle in two hands. Gun order is rifle, shotgun, then pistols. |
| Shooter signifies ready by saying the line: “Look out 2025, here I come” | |
| Rifle: | At the beep, engage the rifle/pistol targets with a 3-4-3 sweep from either direction. Make rifle safe vertically in the gun rack. |
| Shotgun: | Retrieve the shotgun. Engage the two outside shotgun targets, then the two inside shotgun targets. Make shotgun safe vertically in the gun rack. Move forward to the rocks. |
| Pistols: | Draw pistols in accordance with your category and engage the pistol targets from the rocks with a 3-4-3 sweep from either direction. Holster empty pistols. |
| When finished shooting, retrieve guns and proceed to the unloading table. |
